ASPIRE HOME CARE provides two basic types of services: Companionship and Personal
Assistance Services.
1. Companionship primarily consists of the following:
a) Companionship
This includes assistance with hobbies/crafts, reading/writing, taking walks, social activities,
and friendly conversation.
b) Meal Preparation
Includes grocery shopping and meal planning
c) Light Housekeeping
This includes dusting surfaces (excluding trinkets), vacuuming, mopping, cleaning
bathrooms (toilets and wiping surfaces only), laundry (excluding ironing), watering house
plants, and tidying-up. Housekeeping does not include any yard work, getting on a ladder
or step-stool, stain removal of any kind. Questions concerning the appropriateness of a task
should be directed to the Administrator.
d) Transportation
Includes running errands and driving clients to appointments, to church, and to social
activities
e) Pet Care to include walking/feeding/watering a pet
f) Home Monitoring
Includes supervising home maintenance and waiting for service technicians
2. Personal Assistance Services (PAS) consists of Companionship, but also includes helping the
client with one or more of the following:
a) Companionship
b) Transferring
c) Toileting
d) Incontinence care
e) Helping with ambulation and exercise
f) Grooming
g) Bathing
h) Dressing
i) Routine care of hair and skin
j) Assistance with medications that are normally self-administered
k) Any Hands-on care or assistance
l) Vital signs to include taking temperature, and blood pressure using an electronic cuff
